The "worldofnic" website is powered by:

• Microsoft Windows Server 2008
• ASP.NET MVC 2.0
• Castle Project Windsor
• SQL Server 2008 Express Edition
• Tagadab

• 1994: University of Bath. Mainly static pages, with some JavaScript and Java Applet pointlessnes
• Late 1999/2000 moved to a UK Linux server. PHP 4 used for templating system.
• 2004: the worldofnic.org domain was registered and hosting moved to UK FSN. PHP usage continues.
• July 2007: Site migrates to Java/Spring/JSP at RimuHosting. Some pointless use of YUI.
• May 2008: Moved to Linode Site moves to Grails.
• August 2008: Moved to a bigger Linode
• Late 2008: Amazon S3 used as a CDN, later Amazon Cloudfront
• January 2009: Grails 1.1 and jQuery
• February 2009: Moved to Tagadab mainly because they're in the UK
• June 2009: Grails 1.1.1, no jQuery. JBoss 5
• August 2009: ASP.NET MVC with Castle Windsor Container
• November 2009: ASP.NET MVC 2.0 with Castle Windsor Container
